Terms of service

1. Who we are
Milekha is operated by [Registered entity name], registered at [registered address]. Using the service means you accept these terms.
2. What Milekha is, and is not
Milekha is a tool for recording and understanding your own money. It is not a bank, a payment service or a financial adviser. It does not hold your money, cannot move money, and nothing it shows you is investment, tax or legal advice. Decisions you take with it are yours.
3. Your account
- You must be 18 or older and give accurate details.
- Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access.
4. Your data stays yours
You keep every right in the statements you upload and the records you create. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service for you — to store, process and display your data back to you. We claim nothing beyond that, and we do not sell it.
5. Plans and payment
- Prices are in Indian rupees and shown on the pricing page before you subscribe.
- Paid plans renew monthly until cancelled. Payment is collected by Razorpay.
- Cancellation and refunds are covered by our refunds and cancellation policy.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice. A price change never applies to a period you have already paid for.
6. Fair use
Do not attempt to break into the service, disrupt it for others, upload malware, scrape it wholesale, or use it to process data that is not yours to process. Plan limits are published and enforced; persistent attempts to work around them may end the account.
7. Accuracy
Milekha reads statements and checks its reading against the balance the statement itself prints. It reports rows it cannot verify rather than hiding them. Even so, imported data can be wrong, and you should review it — particularly before relying on it for tax or any formal filing. Your bank's own statement is always the authority.
8. Availability
We aim to keep the service available, but we do not promise it will never be interrupted. We may suspend it for maintenance, and we will give notice where we reasonably can.
9. Ending the agreement
You can stop using Milekha and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, and will explain why unless the law prevents it. You can export your data before closing.
10. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. We are not liable for indirect losses, or for decisions you took based on figures you did not check.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified in the app or by email before they take effect, and continuing to use the service means you accept them.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at [city] have exclusive jurisdiction.
